Paul Convery

Paul has worked in social policy, labour market analysis, skills, and learning and welfare to work since 1985. He was a founding Director of Inclusion, following the merger in 2001 with the Unemployment Unit of which he was the Director. In 2002, Paul became an Associate Director with the economic development and management consultancy, SQW, where he led many of the company's assignments providing research, strategy development and evaluation for a wide range of partners. He led New Deal for Communities and NRF evaluations and worked for the LSC, RDAs, and many local authorities.

Paul returned to Inclusion in late 2006 and moved to become an associate in early 2008. Paul is on the board of the LEPU journal 'Local Economy' and he is also an elected councillor in the London Borough of Islington where he chairs the authority’s performance review scrutiny committee.
