
Lorraine is a Senior Researcher at Inclusion. Since joining the organisation in January 2008, Lorraine has managed a number of evaluations focused on welfare-to-work and learning and skills, including quantitative and qualitative research projects. She has surveyed benefit recipients, lone parents, teenaged parents and homeless people throughout the course of her work, and she is experienced in undertaking multivariate analysis. Recently, Lorraine managed a project on the impact of learning on employability for the Learning and Skills Council, identifying the factors that significantly affect the likelihood of a learner moving into work after participating in further education.
Prior to joining Inclusion, Lorraine worked on a number of large-scale quantitative surveys at BMRB Social Research, including the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England for the Department for Children, Schools and Families. She also spent 18 months working at the Home Office, analysing and reporting findings from the British Crime Survey.
Lorraine has expertise in using SPSS, and she is proficient in R.
