Welfare to Work Wales brought together policy makers and practitioners from across Wales and beyond to discuss and debate the latest developments in welfare reform, with particular emphasis on the devolved and non-devolved policy areas of skills and employment. Through a mix of in-depth policy sessions and case studies the convention will provide the opportunity for practitioners and policy makers to share experiences on the challenges and opportunities of integrating skills and employment, of closing the employment gap and empowering local economies through regeneration, and of reducing child poverty and inequality in the labour market. Welfare to Work Wales also provided the opportunity for consultation on the new Welsh Assembly Government’s Skills and Employment Strategy. Convention programme Sponsors and supporters:
