A European research study into homelessness and employmentInclusion completed an explorative research study for Off the Streets and into Work, looking at homelessness and employment services for homeless people across nine European countries (Denmark, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK) in order to identify some of the employment and training support that is most effective in enabling homeless individuals to meet their expectations, needs and aspirations.
Adult Social CareInclusion was commissioned by the NAO to produce an 'options paper' on social care reform.
Better off calculator and trainingDevelopment of a tool for Off the Streets and into Work that calculates the financial advantage of being in-work as opposed to on benefits.
Characteristics and impact of migrant workers from A8 countriesThis project was undertaken with our partners Experian Business Strategies for the Learning and Skills Council in Yorkshire and the Humber examining the economic migrant population in the region. The project involved an examination of the skills, expectations, issues and support needs of recent migrants and the barriers they face in the labour market.
Closing the opportunity gap: Phase 1 evaluationInclusion, in partnership with the Scottish Poverty Information Unit, was commissioned by the Scottish Executive to undertake the interim evaluation of Scotland's anti-poverty strategy (Closing the Opportunity Gap).
DWP Support for CarersInclusion was commissioned to support the National Audit Office in its review of 'DWP support for carers' to gather evidence on whether the DWP was working effectively in partnership with other departments, public bodies and local authorities in their services for carers.
Equal UK mainstreaming supportInclusion had a mainstreaming partnership agreement with Equal UK to promote the innovative practice and policy messages emerging from Development Partnerships in England, Scotland and Wales.
Final evaluation of BiteSizeInclusion was commissioned by St Mungo's to carry out the final Evaluation of BiteSize. BiteSize was a training programme which consisted of specifically designed one-day courses available to disadvantaged groups, particularly homeless people who, for different reasons, tend not to access education.
Final evaluation of Building a Better FutureThe London Action Trust commissioned Inclusion to undertake an evaluation of their Building a Better Future initiative, which was intended to engage young offenders in vocational training with a particular focus on the construction industry.
Looking for work when you are aged 50 or over in LondonInclusion was commissioned by Age Concern to establish how many Londoners aged 50-plus are either looking for work or want work, and identify the profile of these older people. Helping people aged 50-plus find employment does not seem to be near the top of the london policy agenda and this report aims to make the scale of need clearer.
Vulnerable groups workshopsInclusion delivered a workshop for the Consumer Council for Water's policy officers to help identify ways in which the council can forge links with other provision that targets vulnerable households and raise the performance of water services in meeting the needs of these customers.
Working Future EvaluationThis evaluation of Working Future for East Thames GLA aimed to establish whether changes to the way in which temporary housing is funded would have an impact on the transition of homeless households into work, and over the longer term reduce public spending
