Brent BOSSThis was an assessment for Brent Council of the effectiveness of the existing operational functions of Brent BOSS, a construction one-stop shop that assists service users with job-search services and pays for tests to get into the construction industry.
City Strategy Learning NetworkInclusion delivered the City Strategies Learning Network on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. The network exists to stimulate new thinking and support pathfinder areas by building capacity and promoting best practice, and also acts as a conduit for information and policy discussion between pathfinder areas and national government.
Co-ordinating role for the final Waterloo SRB evaluationInclusion was commissioned to co-ordinate the final evaluation of the SRB progamme in Waterloo. As well as project managing a number of ongoing strands of the evaluation this role also involved carrying out interviews with project stakeholders, carrying out a survey of project beneficiaries and compiling the final evaluation report.
Enfield Skills StrategyEnfield Council asked Inclusion to provide a comprehensive evidence base of the labour market conditions in the borough and to use this evidence to inform an action plan of interventions that will increase its employment rate, increase skill levels and meet the emerging needs of employers.
Hampshire MAAInclusion helped the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire to develop proposals for an employment and skills board (ESB) as a key component of its MAA proposal.
Liverpool SETThis work for Merseyside City Strategy identified lower level target setting (at SOA level) for the five neighbourhood management areas in the city.
North London SREDIP performance monitoringThis work commissioned by the North London Strategic Alliance in early 2007 provides a twice yearly set of performance data on the main economic and labour market indicators for the four borough area of Barnet, Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest.
Tyne and Wear City Region MAAInclusion provided consultancy services for the Tyne and Wear City Region concerning the employment and skills section of its MAA.
Worklessness in citiesInclusion was commissioned by the Centre for Cities to write an essay on worklessness in cities, as a part of a series of essays planned by the centre. The essay was based on assessments that worklessness in cities is at higher proportions of the population than in rural areas.
