Cabinet reshuffle takes place

In last week's reshuffle, Peter Mandelson, Margaret Beckett and Baroness Royall join the cabinet (business, housing and leader of the House of Lords respectively). Ruth Kelly, Lord Digby Jones, Des Browne and Baroness Ashton leave it.

John Hutton moves to defence, Ed Miliband to energy and climate, Geoff Hoon to transport, Liam Byrne becomes cabinet office minister, Jim Murphy becomes Secretary of State for Scotland, Caroline Flint moves to the foreign office and Tony McNulty to work and pensions.
