Employment and support allowance brought in

From today (27 October 2008) the employment and support allowance replaces incapacity benefit and income support paid on incapacity grounds for new customers (and for existing customers at a later date).

DWP has published a guide to the allowance that aims to support the work of advisers, customer representative groups and healthcare professionals.
