Malen is a Researcher at Inclusion and has an extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research. In particular, she has experience of in-depth interviewing and interview recruitment.
Malen is Inclusion’s policy lead for employment and homelessness and is currently contributing to the evaluations of Work Choice for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Project SEARCH for the Office for Disability. She is also involved in the Working Mothers project for Women Like Us.
Since joining Inclusion, Malen has been involved in a wide range of research projects commissioned by organisations such as DWP and the Learning and Skills Council. She recently completed a project focusing on employment support needs for long term Incapacity Benefit claimants in Central London for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Malen was involved in all areas of the project including the development of fieldwork materials and the fieldwork itself. The methodology used had a strong ethnographic focus.
