Sarah is a Senior Researcher at Inclusion with four years of experience of working on and project managing qualitative research projects.
Sarah’s main areas of specialism are welfare reform and benefit delivery, particularly in relation to people with disabilities and single parents, supported employment and public sector management, including performance management.
Whilst working as a researcher, Sarah has managed a multitude of projects. She is currently managing two large-scale Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) evaluations of the Work Choice programme and the impact of the DWP Commissioning strategy. Sarah has also managed a DWP qualitative evaluation of Lone Parent Obligations and two evaluations of pilot performance measures for Jobcentre Plus.
Prior to becoming a full time researcher, Sarah worked at a North East Unitary Local Authority, initially as a trainee on the National Graduate Development Programme for Local Government and more recently as the Children's Workforce Development Co-ordinator. Sarah has also worked for a number of other public sector organisations, including the National Care Standards Commission and a National Housing Association.
Sarah has experience of designing and using coding frames in NVivo and Atlas Ti to analyse qualitative data. Sarah is also experienced at designing and delivering training programmes and events to meet needs identified during, and resulting from, earlier projects.
